What is NOT Covered?

Even if you take out All-Risk insurance, there are standard exclusions (exclusion clause) in the marine policy:

  • Personal Belongings: Any items (clothes, bags, electronics) left in the car are at your own risk. The insurance does not cover the loss of personal belongings.
  • Mechanical Damage: Damage to the engine, gearbox or battery that is not caused by an external accident is not covered.
  • Pre-existing Defects: Damage (scratches/dents) already recorded in the inspection form (Vehicle Condition Report) before handover.

How the Premium is Calculated

The All-Risk premium is calculated based on the Sum Insured (the vehicle's current market value).
Formula: (Car Value + Shipping Cost) x Premium Rate (1.5% - 2.0%)
